Al Feliu has represented clients in all aspects of employment law and in a wide variety of commercial settings for over thirty-five years. Early in his career, after clerking for a federal judge, he represented management clients at prestigious international law firms, most notably with Paul Hastings, where he became a partner in 1991. In 1998, Mr. Feliu founded Vandenberg & Feliu, LLP, where he headed its Employment Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution practices. While at Vandenberg & Feliu he expanded his practice to include the counseling and representation of executives and employees. In June, 2016 Mr. Feliu established Feliu Neutral Services, LLC, following the merger of Vandenberg & Feliu with Michelman & Robinson.

Mr. Feliu brings to his work a wealth of experience from a multitude of perspectives – as counsel to organizations and individuals, as a neutral mediating disputes and resolving them as an arbitrator, and investigating such disputes as an independent investigator. Mr. Feliu’s focus is on finding solutions to his clients’ legal and business disputes solutions rather than on promoting adversarial options. It is no coincidence that the first of his four books, published in 1988, was entitled Resolving Employment Disputes Without Litigation, that he was recently Chair of the Labor & Employment Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, and that he has served as EEO Officer for the Port of New York and New Jersey since 2006. Mr. Feliu is also both a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators and a Fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers and has been selected as a Super Lawyer every year since 2009.
